On April 8, 2024, the eclipse will trace a narrow path of totality (complete darkness) across 13 states, with the longest duration in Texas and the shortest in Maine. Because the eclipse will enter the United States through Texas and into Arkansas, Texans will be first to experience it.

PRIMITIVE CAMPING DETAILS

Welcome to the country! Spring in Texas is beautiful and we look forward to having you! This is our family farm and we are excited to have ya’ll on site. Please arrive during one of our designated check in times to get your packet of information. Here are a few things to know:

You must purchase a Camping Pass for each night you plan on camping. If you have not purchased a camping pass for each night please do so immediately. Each tent will need a camping pass for each night on site.

Parking passes must be purchased in advance. f you have a vehicle and plan on parking on property you must purchase a parking pass for each night you plan on staying. Your camping pass does not include parking. We do this so we know how many vehicles to expect on site. The attendance at this event is tightly controlled to minimize impact on our family farm. If room is available, you will be able to park next to your campsite, but each camp site can only have a maximum of 2 vehicles per camp site.

Your Camping Pass does not include admission to the festival. If you want to enjoy the Festival you still must purchase your passes at www.thebestoftexas.org 

This is primitive camping. Campsites do not have electric, nor water hookups. These campsites are in a large cow pasture. This is not a National Park. This is a field in the middle of Texas. All tent campsites are only 14×30 feet or less. Everything must fit inside this campsite space, including your vehicle(s). Parking passes for each vehicle must be purchased in advance. Portable toilets will be located at each campground and throughout the festival area. There are no showers.

You are required to bring garbage bags and all other supplies. When you have trash, you are required to place it in the dumpster. We ask that you leave your space, before departing, as you found it. Please do not leave wrappers, trash etc. What may seem like innocuous refuse to you can actually choke our animals.

No loud music. Quiet time starts at 9PM each night. Be respectful of your neighbors and surroundings. Remember, you are on private property and you are in Texas. The gate at the entrance swings both ways. We welcome you to our farm, but you will be asked to leave if you disobey common courtesy.

Generators are allowed but are not allowed to be a nuisance to neighbors and other campers. Generators may be allowed in the tent area if they are truly quiet. Solar power is welcomed for all campsites. Pets are allowed but MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

Although it is Spring, it is still very dry. We are actually in the middle of a pretty bad drought. That said, the burn ban is off. Small camp fires will be allowed but you must build pits and fire rings and all fires must be extinguished and cold to touch each night.

RV CAMPING DETAILS

RVs must be self-contained. RV campsites are 20×40 feet or less. There are NO HOOKUPS! Generators are allowed but are not allowed to be a nuisance to neighbors and other campers. Generators may be allowed in the tent area if they are truly quiet. Solar power is welcomed for all campsites. Pets are allowed but MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

Portable toilets will be located at each campground and throughout the festival area. 

Campsite guests may bring outside food and beverages to their campsite. Outside alcohol is not allowed in Festival-Winery or any permitted areas due to TABC regulation.

This is a day of unique experiences and we will typically have 1-4 Hot Air Balloons on site. It is extremely important to understand, Hot Air Balloons are extremely weather contingent. We cannot guarantee that the weather will cooperate. We will guarantee you that we always do our best to inflate and activate balloons (we will have anywhere from 1-4 Balloons on site for the tethered rides and Hot Air Balloon Activation). We also guarantee you that we will always put safety first. When the weather does not cooperate, and if balloon rides are not completed, we will refund any guest a complimentary Hot Air Balloon ride at a future event (for up to two years!). All things related to this event are subject to change and will be posted accordingly if changes occur. Hot Air Balloons are extremely weather contingent. We cannot guarantee that the weather will cooperate. We will guarantee you that we always do our best to inflate and activate balloons. We also guarantee you that we will always put safety first.

SPECIAL NOTE: This is a private event and we have capped sales. There will be no day of sales. Guests not registered will not be allowed on the property. No street parking will be allowed. Parking will be provided on our adjoining farm.
